We have an aggressive yet ethical approach. Our philosophy is first to help our clients crystallize the profile of their ideal candidate. We then initiate conversations and make introductions on behalf of our clients to their ideal candidates.
What we will not do is get into a business of breaking people out of contracts or trying to convince people who are perfectly content with their jobs to move elsewhere. We find great candidates who are legitimately available and legitimately leaving their options open.
NM&R is able to tackle the matchmaking challenge successfully because we have chosen to specialize in a few specific areas. Within film, television and advertising, no one has more in-depth knowledge of the "people landscape" than NM&R -- in most cases, not even our clients. We are in the interesting position of being deep enough in these industries to really know what's going on; but we're not "of" the business, so we can access people, places and information that those "of" the business cannot.
A note to potential candidates: An important distinction to understand about NM&R is that we find people for companies, not jobs for people. Although that difference may sound subtle, it's actually quite important because our fiduciary responsibility is to our clients, those being the companies in the industries we serve.
