Those who are not in this industry on a daily basis probably don't realize what a people-driven business it is. Without an in-depth understanding of the people who make up this business, it's impossible to successfully build the teams. Our participation in associations such as PROMAX/BDA and NATPE as well as countless lunches with countless industry professionals have enabled NM&R to develop the relationships necessary to be effective for our clients. We are typically engaged to identify V.P. level talent and above for our network clients. Since no one has a deeper penetration into the television business, we can access the ideal fit for each job we are asked to fill.

CABLE COMPANIES

We understand that these days, it's not business as usual. What might be the staple of the Networks' business is only one piece of a larger business plan for cable companies. Our cable clients are on the leading edge in terms of developing new business models with new revenue streams, new technologies and new approaches to programming. And it takes a strong foundation in the traditional philosophies but a creativity and boldness to help define these new paradigms. Yet taking all that into account, we also understand that it's still a people-driven business.

BROADCAST PROMOTION AND DESIGN COMPANIES

The last year or so has been challenging for traditional promotion companies as well as branding/design houses (to say the least). The combination of many major clients pulling so much in-house, plus so many smaller scale companies popping up and challenging all the old price points has put a major strangle hold on the industry. But there's good news on the horizon. Since we do so much work on the network and cable side, we know that the biggest clients are starting to dish out the work again and there are new clients who are looking for great creative. The key is having the right relationships to get an opportunity to do the work and having the goods to deliver the work. At NM&R, our perseverance with groups like BDA / PROMAX has enabled us to develop relationships with both the biggest clients as well as the best talent in the industry.
